Peter has been in the business of estate agency for almost 33 years and opened Peter James Property in 2013. Over the last six years, Peter’s business achievements have been regularly reflected by our glowing customer testimonials and the business continues to go from strength to strength. Peter’s primary responsibility in the day-to-day running of the business is to personally visit and value each property, applying his 33 years of experience to provide the right valuation every time. Peter’s wealth of industry experience often comes into play to successfully resolve issues within the business, rarely coming across a situation he hasn’t faced before.
After qualifying with a BA (Hons) in Architecture at Portsmouth University, Matt pursued his passion for all things property and moved directly into estate agency, where he has enjoyed a successful 14-year career. At Peter James Property, Matt oversees our information technology and the day-to-day running of the office, typically being the first person in the office every morning. Matt enjoys facing new challenges and outside of work he can often be found in the gym.
With over 17 years of experience in the industry, Chris is a professional estate agent who has worked in both the Midlands and London property markets. His career began in London’s Holland Park and Notting Hill districts before he made the move back to Wolverhampton. Having previously worked for Peter, Chris was excited to re-join the team in 2013 and is immensely proud to have performed such a pivotal role in the ongoing success of the business. His primary role at Peter James Property is to manage the new instructions, the administrative side of the business and sales negotiations. Chris also deals with the print advertising and co-ordinates the commission of bespoke marketing materials for each property.
Julie has been selling houses for 25 years and has spent five years with Peter James Property after a 20-year career selling new-build properties. At just 21, Julie was made a Sales Manager within the new-build industry and was later promoted to the position of Sales Director. She studied Estate Management through Reading University, gaining a Certificate of Residential Estate Agency after three years and embarking on a successful career in this field. Julie’s responsibilities within Peter James Property focus on sales progression; she meticulously follows the sale process through to completion, liaising daily with vendors, buyers, solicitors and other Estate Agents. Julie is available in the office to deal with enquiries and she also conducts viewings and valuations where required.
A friendly and professional face who has been with Peter James Property since our very first day of opening, Linda has worked within the industry for 16 years. Her responsibilities include providing viewings on Saturdays to offer greater flexibility for our clients.
Ceri is a professional copywriter, researcher and editor who left the hospitality industry to study literature and history in 2013. Now fully qualified with a first-class BA and a Masters degree, Ceri provides perfectly crafted marketing copy for our bespoke property details, carefully tailored to each individual home whether you are selling a modern city apartment or a grand country house.
Mollie joined us three years ago to assist the team on Saturdays and has been here ever since. Easily approachable and always friendly, she is happy to help out on viewings or in the office and is a great front-of-house addition to the team. Mollie is a real people-person and has built up a strong client base, providing a warm welcome to everyone who steps into the office.
Steven is a highly-skilled estate agent with extensive local knowledge and over 25 years’ experience working in the area. Until 2018, Steven operated his own business, focusing on residential lettings and managing in excess of 200 residential lettings before selling the company. Following the sale, Steven spent 18 months working in new-home sales and has now joined Peter James Property as our Lettings Manager and Senior Valuer.
Expert initial advice on the value is critical to a successful sale. We do not overvalue to gain your business. We do however conduct an exhaustive amount of research before coming out to value your property, enabling us to be as accurate as possible.
In addition, we pride ourselves on having a good record in selling properties that other agents have previously marketed unsuccessfully.
If at first you don't succeed... In the event that we are unable to secure a buyer for you first off, we keep reviewing and re-evaluating the marketing strategy. We certainly wouldn't put you on the back burner or 'wait for the market to catch up'… (you'd be likely waiting a long time in this area).
